Executive team

Our CEO is Dr Dominique Limet, former Senior Vice President (SVP) and Head of Personalised Medicine Strategy for GSK.

Dominique worked for Ciba-Geigy before joining Glaxo Wellcome in France in 1996. He became Chairman and Managing Director in 2000 and, subsequently, General Manager of GSK France. In 2003 he was appointed SVP and Area Director for GSK's pharmaceutical business in Southern & Eastern Europe.

Dominique holds a Doctorate in Medicine, a specialisation in occupational medicine, and Marketing and Management qualifications earned at INSEAD. At GSK, Dominique served as a member of GSK's Positive Action Steering Committee and was a board member of the GSK France Foundation, which supported a range of HIV/AIDS-related programmes around the world.

Bill Collier is head of the North America region, responsible for the businesses in the US, Canada and Puerto Rico.

Bill has held a number of Sales and Marketing positions in the UK and in Global Commercial Development. He was also Area Director for Sub Saharan Africa operations (which included marketing and sales responsibility for the HIV product portfolio). In the USA, Bill led the Marketing Analysis and Commercial Support teams through the GlaxoWellcome and SmithKline Beecham merger and was also Senior VP Sales for US Pharmaceuticals. Most recently, Bill has worked in GSK's Office of the CEO coordinating the Support Function Review and supporting launch excellence in GSK Japan.

Bill gained a BSc Hons in Mathematics and Management Sciences from Manchester University, UK.

Our head Legal Counsel and Company Secretary, Terry Crandall was previously Assistant General Counsel, Sales, Marketing & Managed Care (SMMC) - US Legal Operations, GSK. In this role she was responsible for providing support to HIV products Epzicom, Combivir and Trizivir, as well as the HIV sales force.

In addition, Terry served as lead counsel on Direct-to-Consumer Advertising (DTCA) and represented GSK in the development of the PhRMA Code on DTCA and provided support regarding legislative issues concerning DTCA.

Terry received BA degrees with Honours in English and Psychology from Bucknell University, Phi Beta Kappa, and her Law degree from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. She is a member of the North Carolina Bar and the Illinois Bar.

Saskia Fontein is Head of Commercial Strategy, including global product strategy for new and marketed products and commercial portfolio management.

Saskia started her career in pharmaceuticals in market research at the turning point of the HIV epidemic in 1996 and quickly became an expert. She joined Pfizer in 2001 in Market Analytics in New Product Development covering HIV and other viral diseases. In 2003 she moved to Worldwide Marketing and played a leadership role in developing Pfizer's global HIV portfolio, launching Celsentri (marketed in the US as Selzentry) and leading the HIV disease area strategy. She also led Pfizer's HIV prevention strategy.

She holds a BSc in Human Sciences from Loughborough University.

Dr Manuel Goncalves is Head of Government Affairs, Patient Advocacy, Community Partnership and Access.

Manuel joined GSK in 1984 as Medical & Regulatory Affairs Director, Portugal. He progressed through a series of commercial roles of increasing seniority in France, the UK and Portugal. He became VP and General Manager of GSK's pharmaceuticals business in Portugal in 1997. In this role, he gained significant experience in working with members of the government and local community on market access, healthcare policy and industry reputation issues while running the commercial business including the HIV product portfolio.

Manuel is a medical doctor by education and an elected member of the Portuguese Medical Academy and the General Council of Lisbon Public University (Nova).

Dr John Pottage is our Chief Scientific and Medical Officer. He oversees R&D, Regulatory, Safety and Medical Affairs.

John is the former SVP, Infectious Diseases Medicine Development Centre for GSK. John previously held senior positions at Vertex Pharmaceuticals and Achillion Pharmaceuticals, where he helped lead a successful IPO in 2006 and led the HIV and HCV development programmes. Before joining the pharmaceutical industry, John was Associate Professor of Internal Medicine in the Section of Infectious Diseases at Rush Medical College in Chicago. While at Rush, he was Director of the Outpatient HIV Centre.

John is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease. He is the author of more than 50 peer-reviewed medical articles as well as the author of several chapters in Infectious Disease textbooks.

David is Head of the International region, responsible for the business outside North America and Europe.

Previously he was VP and General Manager for GSK's South Africa business. Prior to this, he was Area General Manager Developing Markets Eurasia from 2004 to 2008, where he was responsible for nine Caucasus and Central Asian markets.

David joined GSK in the UK in 1988 where he gained commercial experience through numerous increasingly senior roles in sales and marketing positions. He undertook his first International role when promoted to General Manager Ukraine in 2002.

He has a BSc Hons in Biochemistry and Microbiology from Leeds University.

Tina St Leger is our global Head of HR.

Tina joined ViiV Healthcare from GSK, where she most recently held the position of HR Business Leader for UK Pharmaceuticals. There, she took a leadership role in implementing a new business model and embedding a culture of continual process improvement across the organisation. Tina has developed her career at GSK over the past seven years, where she held various HR positions of increasing seniority; most notably in organisation development both at global and UK levels and across various functions in learning and development. She previously worked for the UK retailer Marks and Spencer in finance, leadership development and change management roles.

Tina holds a degree in Chemistry from the University of St. Andrews, Scotland.

Tim Tordoff is our newly appointed Head of Europe at ViiV Healthcare, effective from 1st June 2013.

Tim joins ViiV Healthcare from GSK where most recently he held the position of VP Service Development for GSK Core Business Services. This role enabled Tim to build on and broaden his capabilities in programme and service leadership and create significant value for the GSK business through a major initiative to deliver more customer focused services. 

With a strong commercial background, Tim joined GSK in 1993. Since then he has held a number of roles of increasing responsibility across the company’s UK and European organisations in both commercial and R&D roles. Between 2005-2008 Tim served as General Manager, GSK Ireland which included the HIV portfolio among his responsibilities; during his time in this role Tim drove a step change in government understanding and engagement with GSK. In his subsequent appointment as VP, Primary Care in 2008 Tim was instrumental in focusing the customer facing teams on launch and growth brands in a rapidly changing UK customer environment. This led to the successful launch of four medicines in 18 months.


As Chief Financial Officer, Subesh Williams oversees Finance and Business Development.

Previously, he was VP Corporate Development at GSK. The Corporate Development team is responsible for mergers and acquisitions, major investment opportunities and capital projects.

A chartered accountant, Subesh joined GSK in 1994 where he held a number of roles within finance.
